Our Story
SocialLite was founded by three college students who were tired of mindless scrolling but still wanted to stay connected with the people they cared about.
It started with a simple challenge among friends: no Reels for one month.
At first, it seemed easy enough. But scrolling had become instinctive, almost hard-wired. Social media apps are designed to pull you into short-form content effortlessly, and breaking that habit proved far harder than anyone expected. Nearly everyone in the group had to delete social media entirely just to make it through the month.
After thirty days without Reels, the results were undeniable. Those who completed the challenge felt mentally clearer, had more time for the things they loved, and were noticeably happier and less stressed.
But it came at a cost. Without social media apps, it was harder to stay informed, keep in touch, and communicate with friends easily.
That question became SocialLite.
Today, SocialLite helps thousands of people use social media on their own terms, staying connected to what matters while leaving behind the content designed to keep them hooked.
