How this is worked out

Hours per day multiplied by 365 gives hours per year, divided by 24 for whole days. The lifetime figure projects the same daily habit forward to age 84, which is the span this calculator uses. It is an estimate from one number you give it, not a measurement of your actual usage — your phone’s own screen time report is the accurate source for that.

Getting some of it back

Most of that time is not spent choosing what to watch. It goes to the endless part: Reels, Shorts and Spotlight. SocialLite removes those feeds while leaving your messages, your friends and the rest of each app exactly as it was.
